Substance
The UBE is federal doctrine plus common-law majority rules. The ATP is Kenyan statute first — the Constitution 2010, the Civil Procedure Act, the Evidence Act, the Law of Succession Act — applied to practice-oriented problems.
What that means for prep
- UBE: volume and speed on the MBE, tight IRAC on the MEE, and instruction-following on the MPT.
- ATP: know the governing section, be able to draft the pleading, and be ready to defend your answer out loud.
In both, the failure mode is the same: knowing the rule but not applying it to the facts in front of you. That's the muscle the practice loop is built to train.
